bases page to see how we apply the curriculum to each base.

The Governing Body of St. Paul's considers that the Local Education Authority's Curriculum Statement, together with the requirements of the Education Reform Act (1988) form a framework within which details of the school curriculum can be developed.

The L.E.A. Curriculum Statement, a copy of which can be seen on request, emphasises the importance of providing a school day which challenges and motivates each individual child. Teachers are required to organise children's learning in order to promote excellence, enjoyment, perseverance, self-discipline and independent learning.

It is against this background that we have formulated our general aims and developed in more detail the school curriculum in its widest sense.
