Acts of Kindess

Acts of Kindness, FixIt Tickets & the Circle of Control

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

At St Paul’s, we believe that every member of our community has the power to make a positive difference. Our Acts of Kindness initiative celebrates the everyday moments when pupils choose compassion, empathy, and generosity, whether that’s offering a helping hand, including someone new, or showing encouragement when it’s needed most. These small actions strengthen our school culture and remind us that kindness is a choice we can make again and again. Each week, children who have demonstrated Acts of Kindness are celebrated. Children receive stickers, certificates and star badges. We love seeing so many of our children wearing their pins with pride and celebrating their Acts of Kindness.

Alongside this, our FixIt Ticket initiative supports pupils in taking responsibility for their actions and learning how to make amends. When mistakes happen,as they naturally do, our pupils are guided to reflect, repair, and restore. This approach helps children understand the impact of their choices and empowers them to put things right in a constructive and meaningful way.

To help pupils build confidence in their decisionmaking, we also teach the Circle of Control. This simple but powerful idea helps children recognise the difference between what they can control, such as their words, actions, effort, and attitude, and what they cannot, like other people’s behaviour or unexpected events. By focusing on what lies within their circle, pupils learn to make thoughtful choices, manage challenges more calmly, and take ownership of the things they can influence.

Together, these initiatives nurture a community where kindness is celebrated, accountability is encouraged, and every pupil is supported in growing into a thoughtful, responsible, and resilient young person.

Acts of Kindness Pupil Voice:
